I Know A Mod Here Uses It So He Must Know If Its Good. I Will Go Back To AVG Free If Im Not Satisfied With It. Etrust has smaller resouce usage than avg and a much better scanner. Good Low resource Great real time scanner Great on demand scanner Cleans viruses that it finds(not all avs do this) Updated regularly Free program updates within you license Bad Not free all of the time G'day folks, was just wondering what your opinion is of Trend Micros Pc Cillin Security Suite as compared to Etrust AV?I've been using it for the last 4 years (Pc Cillin variants) and have not been infected...... Reason that I'm inquiring is that it's not a 'huge' resource hog, but it does suck up some and was looking for something similar that would use less RAM.Cheers G'day folks, was just wondering what your opinion is of Trend Micros Pc Cillin Security Suite as compared to Etrust AV?

I have tried the new version of trend micro and etrust is lighter on resources and has just as good of a scanner.
The trendmicro antispyware is junk as is the firewall.
I say give etrust a try and if you don't like it(you will) than you can just switch back(you won't). The MS 1-year trial download I have is v188.8.131.52 and is for one time only and when I logged in I couldn't find anyway of getting the latest version v7.0.7 without purchasing it.
The virus definitions for one of our internal servers running Computer Associates e Trust ITM v8.0 hadn’t been updated since the last time we rebooted the server (about 45 days ago).
I tried updating the definitions manually by right-clicking the e Trust ITM tray icon and clicking Download Updates Now and also restarting the e Trust ITM services – both to no avail.
In looking at the e Trust Distribution Events log, I noticed that the following message had been logged several times a day since the last server reboot: Rather than rebooting the server (and causing a disruption to everybody in the office), I found that manually launching (located at C:\Program Files\CA\Shared Components\Scan Engine) did the trick.
From the Task Manager, I can see this EXE ran for approximately 10 seconds and then terminated.
The following message was then logged: Time Type Code Description 11/5/2007 AM Information 0 The distribution program started incoming redistribution update.
