Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at Denver United Methodist Church, 3910 N. The family will receive friends from p.m.until p.m. He was the son of the late Vernon Fabius Elmore and Myrtle Pernell Finger Elmore. He was born in Lincoln County, son of the late Floyd and Margaret Harmon Keener.
Elmore served over 30 years as a program supervisor for the NC Correctional Department.
He loved to travel with his wife and friend, Ginger, both to the beach and the mountains. He was a loving husband, father, and friend and is survived by his wife of 29½ years, Denise Edwards Keener; two children, Michael Andrew Keener and companion, Mariana of Mount Holly, and Aaron Glenn Keener and wife, Laura of Greenville, NC; a sister, Joy Keener Watson and husband, Wayne of Murphy, NC; a niece, Kellie Watson, a nephew, Joseph Watson, wife, Heather, and twin boys, John Parker and Brady; and three cats whom he dearly loved, Mooey, Chloe, and Tammy.
Michael Thomas Kale ( September 26, 1946 - July 18, 2016 ) Michael Thomas Kale, age 69, of 121 Antique Road in Lincolnton, died on Monday, July 18, 2016. on Friday, July 22, 2016, at Southside Baptist Church with Rev. Burial will follow in the Pisgah United Methodist Church cemetery. on Thursday, July 21, 2016, at Warlick Funeral Home. Kale was born September 26, 1946, in Billings, Montana, to the late Sidney H. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a son, Jason Thomas Kale.
Michael served in the United States Air Force and then later worked in sales.
He is survived by a daughter, Jennifer Diana Kale Cory, and husband Eli, of Bristow, VA; and two grandsons, Thomas and Cameron Cory.

Michael David Shelton ( May 28, 1945 - July 17, 2016 ) Michael David Shelton, age 71 ,of Lineberger Road in Lincolnton, died Sunday, July 17, 2016, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. He was the son of the late Marlin Shelton and Eva Lackey Shelton. He worked as a lab operator for the City of Lincolnton. Love and sympathy, Lana Richard “Dan” Taylor, Sr., age 65, of Mc Bee Street passed away on May 22, 2016. His parents were the late Hoyle Taylor and Mary Bangle Taylor. He was Safety Director and a volunteer fireman for the City of Lincolnton.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Merle Payseur. He is survived by his wife, Elaine Putnam of the home; two daughters, Wendy Putnam Starnes, and special friend Grayson Smith, and Amanda Putnam of Charlotte; and two grandchildren, Sydney Starnes and Abby Starnes. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Pete and Carroll Hovis, three sisters, Sarah Garrison, Betty Jean Hovis and Mary Jo Hovis was employed in the modular home business, was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, and had a love of horses, vintage cars and especially his family. George was a super nice guy and will really be missed by all. He was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Hoyle Taylor. Most of his career he was dedicated to serve the public as Superintendent of the Lincolnton Water Treatment Plant.
Michael is survived by his sisters, Rachel Bainbridge of Greensboro, Judith Shelton of Lincolnton, and Janice Pryce of Sunset Beach; and six nieces and nephews. George was born on February 18, 1949 and was the son of the late W. He is survived by his wife Sharon Sain Hovis of the home; one son Jason Hovis and wife, Pam of Lincolnton; one brother, James E. Hovis of Lincolnton and Patricia Hovis Hance of Lincolnton; two grandsons, Gabriel Hovis and William Hovis. I'm sorry I missed the funeral, just didn't know. He graduated from Lincolnton High School in 1969, and then graduated from Gordon Military College as a cadet 1st Sgt. His faith in Jesus Christ was the center of his life.
He will be missed and remembered by his friends for his wit and dry humor. Rodney Allen Putnam ( November 2, 1946 - July 12, 2016 ) Rodney Allen Putnam, age 69, of 1088 Calloway Road in Lincolnton, died on Tuesday, July 12, 2016. on Thursday, July 14, 2016, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Funeral services will be held pm Monday in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Lincolnton. Grigg was preceded in death by one brother Jimmy Grigg and one sister Mary Mc Coy. George Wayne Hovis, age 67, of Salem Church Road, Lincolnton died Saturday, June 4, 2016. Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church with Pastor Chad Walker officiating. Memorials may be made to Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 2639 East Highway 150 Lincolnton, NC 28092. His focus was service to God, family and those in need. Family will receive friends in the Parish Hall afterward.
